Information

Edinburgh has always been an inspiration for authors and writers, and many famous books have been written right here in the city. Discover the real inspiration behind Jekyll and Hyde and the many stories from the city's three Roberts. The tour will also explain the true inspiration for books, movies and plays that Edinburgh has become over the centuries. Finishing at the bottom of the Royal Mile, in the Canongate cemetery with more stories of inspiration and legacy.

This tour is hosted by Invisible Cities, a social enterprise that trains individuals who have experienced homelessness in the city to become tour guides. These award-winning tours blend history, social insights, and personal stories, offering a fresh perspective on the city.

Places are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration opens in the Pensions UK events app on 24 February.

Start point and joining instructions will be emailed to participants the day before the session.
