Clean Growth Fund

Clean Growth Fund is a specialist climate tech venture capital platform. It was set up in 2020 to invest in UK-based innovations that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions or improve resource efficiency across: power and energy systems, transport and mobility, industrial decarbonisation, buildings and the built environment, agrifood and land use, circular economy, waste and water. We look for innovations that will abate significant amounts of CO2-eq per year and will typically make an initial investment between £500k and £5m – predominantly during Seed or Series A stages.

Clean Growth Fund is multiple award winning and led by its Founder and Managing Partner, Beverley Gower-Jones OBE, a recognised thought-leader in early stage cleantech investments and commercialisation. The fund is passionate about creating tomorrow’s climate tech leaders, spearheaded by our skilled and experienced team.

Fund I raised £101m from a range of institutional investors, including a diversified LP list of UK pension funds. It has made 19 investments to date, across a range of climate technology companies aiming to deliver both environmental and place-based impact. Clean Growth Fund is now raising its second fund, with a target size of £150 million. It achieved first close of £49 million in 2025 and is beginning to deploy capital for Fund II.
